Krupa is a registered charitable trust working among forsaken and forgotten people groups, primarily in and around Chennai and in and around Madurai.

Krupa believes in ‘Touching, Teaching and Transforming Lives’ and works towards holistic development of the communities it works with. Krupa’s mission is to these forsaken and forgotten people…

Krupa began as individual concern for marginalised communities. It was formalised into a charitable trust in 1995 at Chennai. Managed by a board of trustees, comprising of social workers, educationists and business executives.

Krupa’s work is in five main areas of Education, Health care, Skill development, Women’s Empowerment and Housing and also works with various government and private bodies to obtain marginalised people their rightful needs. As a registered charitable trust, Krupa’s accounts are subject to statutory audit every year. Contributions to Krupa in India are subject to exemptions under section 80G of the Income Tax Act. Krupa is also registered under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act to receive contributions from overseas.
