Krupa began as individual concern for marginalised communities. It was formalised into a charitable trust in 1995 at Chennai. Managed by a board of trustees, comprising of social workers, educationists and business executives.
Krupa’s work is in five main areas of Education, Health care, Skill development, Women’s Empowerment and Housing and also works with various government and private bodies to obtain marginalised people their rightful needs. As a registered charitable trust, Krupa’s accounts are subject to statutory audit every year. Contributions to Krupa in India are subject to exemptions under section 80G of the Income Tax Act. Krupa is also registered under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act to receive contributions from overseas.Learn More
